Help and guide your child to establish their network of trust i.e. 5 people they can go to if they are ever worried or need to disclose something;

Make sure you add photos if your child can’t read yet;

Try and include a range of people that your child has access to (both in and outside the immediate family);

Ensure that this list is kept up-to-date particularly at the beginning of each new year.

Remind your child that if the first person they tell doesn’t help them feel safe then they must keep on telling until someone helps.
